Our Mission

"To assist children who have a diagnosis of Asperger's, PDD-NOS, or High Functioning Autism and their families to obtain the social and life skills necessary to become independent, self-supporting members of the community."

What is Camp T.A.L.K?

Camp T.A.L.K is an inclusive social skills day camp for children ages 10 and up. Our focus is on students who have a diagnosis of Asperger's Autism or PDD-NOS. We work on practicing social skills and building friendships in a highly supervised, safe setting that includes field trips, team building games, guest speakers, music and movement.

Where is Camp T.A.L.K Held?

Camp T.A.L.K. will be held at Willow Ridge Church (located at 104 Sycamore Tree Road, Lexington, South Carolina, 29073) in the summer of 2012.

When is Camp T.A.L.K?

Session 1 dates: June 19, 21, 26 and 28th

Session 2 dates: July 3, 5, 10 and 12th

Camp T.A.L.K. is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM

Closing Ceremony for BOTH sessions will be on July 12th at 6:30 PM.

What is Camp T.A.L.K. Extreme?

Camp T.A.L.K Extreme is for ages 15 through college age ASD students. Camp T.A.L.K. Extreme campers will take a field trip every day to take a college tour or explore post graduation job opportunities in the community.
Camp T.A.L.K. Extreme will be held July 16, 17, 18, and 19th. The "Extreme" Session is also $100.00.

Who are the volunteers?

Camp T.A.L.K. has been blessed to have a staff rich in personal experiences with Asperger's and completely comprised of volunteers that are dedicated to loving and serving others. Our staff includes teachers, therapists, social work interns, and parents of children on the spectrum. We also have a large junior staff who act as peer mentors from area high schools.
